Oklahoma Baptist's Madison Chambers and Jaedyn Getman were named to the All-Great American Conference Honorable Mention team on Wednesday. Plus, Getman was voted as the GAC's Freshman of the Year, OBU's first player to garner that individual honor.

Also of note, it marked the first time since OBU joined the league full-time that two Bison players were selected to the all-conference squad.

Chambers' senior-season ascension was one of the big reasons the Bison finished in a tie for fourth in the league standings and posted a 16-12 record.

The Muldrow, Okla., native averaged a career-best 12.2 points per game, shot 43.2 percent from the field and led the team with 93 assists. Chambers ended up reaching double-figuring scoring in 20 games this season which included a career-high 22 versus Oklahoma Christian on Dec. 6.

She also finished seventh in the GAC in assists (3.3), handed out a career-high eight assists against Cameron on Nov. 26, ranked 20th in scoring and 22nd in field goal percentage.

Getman's first year on Bison Hill was outstanding. Her current point total of 372 is the most by an OBU freshman in the D2 era. She averaged 13.3 points per game, a mark that slotted her 15th in the GAC, and ranked fourth in free throw percentage (85.7).

She also ranked 18th in field goal percentage (43.8) and 20th in rebounding (5.3).

During the course of the season, Getman scored in double figures 20 times and posted a season-best 23 points against Northwestern Oklahoma State on Jan. 21. The Stratford native also notched her first career double-double in the finale at home against East Central when she went for 22 points and 11 boards. Furthermore, Getman became the first Bison freshman to go 4-for-4 from three-point range in a D2 game against Southern Nazarene on Feb. 13.

Off the court, senior guard Erika Ankney was named as a Distinguished Scholar Athlete.
